I can recall an occasion when I was being demonically attacked and when I tried to rebuke it in the name of Jesus, he laughed in my face. One even mocked my attempt to rebuke. What does this mean?

Nothing wrong with that; after all, there is a lot of scriptural evidence for demons. Some people, like the ones linked, just take it way too seriously.
