God today on that sub I got infuriated. If you wanna look through my post history you can, it might explain it better. BASICALLY this girl's boyfriend made her a brush holder with a 3D printer and someone commented "i thought this was muacirclejerk" in it, basically meaning, "this thing is really ugly and I thought I was in the joke sub looking at a joke post." MUAcirclejerk is like supposed to be funny circle jerk sub where all the bitter MUAs hang out and complain about whatever's up their asses. So I got curious and wandered over there and I saw a post mocking the OP, which was pretty typical for that sub, but it was SO MEAN. Like, mocking OP for bragging about posting the gift (OP never bragged), mocking OP for having a boyfriend, mocking OP's boyfriend, mocking OP for apparently hating poor people (?), all kinds of shit. And I was horrified, truthfully. Like, goddamn, all the OP did was post a picture of something her boyfriend made her. If my boyfriend had made me something like that and I posted it in excitement and then I found out people were making fun of his gift and calling it ugly, I would be SO HURT. So anyways I decide to, you know, say that in the sub. But god forbid, apparently. Myself and a few other commentators who had the audacity to suggest it was kind of mean-spirited to mock gifts people received, and kind of mean-spirited to mock people in general, were then educated on comedy and satire, because of course, that's what it was. And we were all assholes for pointing that out. Clearly. So anyways after I got told I was judgmental for saying it was asshole-ish to mock people I said I would unsub, and then I did. I'm just not in the business of mocking gifts, people, whatever. And frankly calling me judgmental after all that shit is, to me, equivalent to someone racist getting called out and then them going in response "butwhat about tolerance??" A makeup sub isn't worth it to me. I'm currently being mocked in my own thread on the circlejerk sub because again, clearly I'm an idiot and don't understand humor. Or whatever. AND FOR THE GODDDAMN RECORD I fucking know what satire is, and they all have it WRONG. I should have gone English major on their asses but I refrained. So yeah. That's why I unsubbed. end rant
