Julian Assange is doing an AMA.

Despite him answering questions live on Twitch, people are skeptical. There are a lot of people who are also really really grumpy because apparently he singlehandedly won the election for Trump.

Lots of creative stuff in the Twitch chat too.

IAMA

People on /r/WhereIsAssange are convinced it's prerecorded and fake.

Fucking

How do we know that's not Assange's ghost?

At this point Assange could knock on their door and they would still think it was prerecorded.

Mommy gets the door, they can't go upstairs they're too busy BTFO'ing SJWs.

The AMA thread is pretty fishy

Ha, from the /r/conspiracy post about how all the questions are from shills or whatever:

So in your opinion, Assange is a completely trustworthy and reputable person with no suspicious activities or hidden ties to intelligence services?

Until proven otherwise, yes.

/u/Sirbinkai you're the perfect example of why /r/conspiracy is such a shit sub. You question everything unless it's about your kawaii waifu.

kawaii waifu

I never thought I'd hear those words used to describe Assange. He's more kinda... is there a word for the creepy old white haired guy in anime?

I only describe him like that because he makes /r/conspiracy collectively shout "baka!"

... the weeaboos are already in the subreddit.

Is he that old? I thought he just had Steve Martinitis

Holy shit, you're right. He's only 45, but he looks like he's headed for 60.

btw about that Madoka is a shit and so are you

/u/Zachums is a confirmed lizard person until proven otherwise.

>he literally can't sign a message with the wikileaks private key because 'abloo abloo my keys are hard to keep track of'

there goes any hope I had that he was still in charge, and there goes any legitimacy wikileaks had

there goes any legitimacy wikileaks had

Are you posting from 2010? Tell my thirty year old self to just do him, he'll turn out great in 2017.

Well there was at least the possibility that it was Assange running the show, even if he was being partisan. Bias is inherent to our personalities as human beings so I can excuse that although it's annoying.

But to find out that he's not even running the show? Cmon, WikiLeaks IS Assange - or at least it was.

I'm just saying the idea of WL as some bastion of rationality/fairness/agenda-free truth was pretty well dashed long, long ago. It's been simply anti establishment for the sake of it from the start, which is why anarchists and redditors and teenagers have always liked it while normies have rolled their eyes.

In what universe do normies roll their eyes at juicy gossip? They might not ruffle through that shit but they love it when it is summarised and dank

I think he means normies that don't sit and cry about a military doing military stuff and intelligence agencies doing intel agency stuff.

"A helicopter killed people? In a war? Wooooow."

Everyone i knew freaked out about the spying idk man

lmao did they? Was this a college campus

What kind of bubble do you live in? Did everyone you know love the Patriot act because it says patriot in the name?

The type of circles that know the Patriot Act has nothing to do with this convo

Because they're stupid, honestly.

I'd say the opposite is true.

I highly doubt they have any experience with national defense of intelligence operations, so it's at best incredibly ignorant, right?

Wrong, of course.

"The NSA is spying on everyone" was a ridiculous conspiracy theory until it has been proven true.

It's not true, though. This is why the panic is so funny: people don't even know what's going on. Storing metadata (but not content) that you can't even look at without a warrant isn't "spying on everyone".

"Spying on everyone" makes it seem like there's someone at NSA going through your emails. Unless a judge said that you were a source of FI, that's not happening.

It's been out for quite a while that it's not just metadata.

Privacy is dying. Every attempt we have ever made at liberal atomism is failing.

It's been out for quite a while that it's not just metadata.

lol no

Not without a warrant. That's the point.

See what I'm saying? People freak out about it, but they really don't know.

Silly ole me, the government will never.

I can't argue with your speculation and imagination, dude. We've now crossed over into "Well I bet they are anyway!"

Agreed. Full fascism now.

Not really.

'abloo abloo my keys are hard to keep track of'

that's a good one m80 its literally not hard to track your private keys

This dude is so full of shit and its not like he was before Trump, the cracks started to form after "Collateral Murder."

The coming Trumpocalypse is like watching a 747 crash. Its always more than one thing that brings the plane down but people focus on the reality that a plane crashed, and can't accept that there may be more than just pilot error.

I have to say that I really don't think it's going to be all that bad.

You probably either don't have a vagina, don't care about climate change, or don't have health care through the ACA.

Well you're right about one of those things.

Well I did say "or" not "and" so actually I'm just right.

Well you're not wrong about one of those things.
