Interesting that so many of the vandals are from the Philippines. I expected more from China to be honest, given their government's penchant for controlling (literally) all information on the net. And I would have expected more agenda posting, not amusing pranks like this and this.
David Beals: Inserts random images of ceiling fans into any articles, and even links to videos of them. He also has a tendency to randomly thank certain Wikipedia users. At the same time, while on Commons, he will load a ventilator/ceiling fan image over any medium or high use image that he targets.
I want to shake this man's hand and thank him for his service to the planet.
This particular ""vandal" would be a good example of such a person. I bet the vandal doesn't realize that a 'boy band' is a term for a specific type of music group, and not a catch-all term for every all-male music group. I imagine the vandal is the personification of the Ralph Wiggum "I'm helping" meme.
Grawp's in there, but it's def an incomplete list because there are some vandals who are missing who were formerly listed at some point in time. Might be a list of long-term vandals who they think are still active.
Broadway hoaxer: Inserts hoaxes regarding "upcoming Broadway shows", either new productions of the musical in question, or a new role for the actress described. Always unsourced and never shows up in Google search.
aspiring broadway star?
Friends vandal: Vandalism on articles related to the television show Friends. Persistently introduces factual errors regarding the relationship statuses of the characters.

Joehazelton: Has been stalking User:Goethean and other users since 2006 when he was involved in a conflict over the articles Peter Roskam and Tammy Duckworth. Recently, he has been nominating for deletion articles that User:Goethean created. He generally edits, from a pro-Republican viewpoint, articles relating to far west suburban Chicago politicians. He has a poor command of the English language, and speaks Polish. If his efforts are undermined, he will appear to explode with child-like, semi-coherent rage, often riddled with obscenities and with references to homosexuality, Marxism, the Chicago Outfit, Barack Obama, etc.

That sounds pretty in line with most of my experience with poles on the net.
You are right, they usually start out pretty well-spoken, but as soon as so much as a feather strikes their hair trigger for buttblastedness, they'll transform into a rambling mess that will have you praying for Jan-Pawel II to save you in no time. Seriously. Forgot to compliment Wojciech on his new business suit? That's one torrent of kurwas coming right up. To me, though, that also makes them pretty endearing.
I actually enjoy reading social media people talked about create. They are building an alternate reality in which the mighty Pole is universally respected. Stories about burning Muslims and stoning gays are interleaved with praises to world-famous Polish tolerance. My advice is to poke the aquarium they live in. Say something about Polish treason in the WW2 or remind that JPII turned a blind eye on paedophilia scandals. Keep responding with unchanged standpoint. You win when the kid takes effort to reply that he doesn't care about likes of you. Bonus point if they do it more than once.
Two users from the United States, (one from Indiana typically on Frontier, one from California typically on Comcast) persistently adding indiscriminate lists focused on "Background Muppets" or "Background characters" or "Muppet cameos" or "Not Featured Muppets" across a wide variety of articles related to The Muppets. Active circa mid-2015 to present (2017).
Years ago one of my friends added a greatest hits album called "Noogies for Liberals" to Toby Keith's page that to this day is referred to all across the internet despite not actually existing. He went as far as to get someone to mock up an album cover for a torrent which he then uploaded to TPB - for a while it was seeded by thousands of people across multiple trackers. There was even an AskReddit thread about it.
For the curious, the torrent was just existing Toby Keith songs except for the bonus track "Obama's Turban (I Stole It)" which was actually a song called "Flugtbilist" by a Danish ska band, written by a guy we both knew.
I am amazed Ryulong is nowhere to be found there, even totally disregarding the Gamergate shit. His spergery over Power Rangers wiki articles was the stuff of legend.

Yeah, it's kinda weird, isn't it? I wonder what it is that makes Filipinos such common wiki vandals.

No drugs means they have to let off steam on the Internet, and even then it sucks
Here's how Pinoy's Internet
n/a Brokenglass126 2017-01-17
They don't have to control it if they can just block it.

Sure, for the domestic audience. I was thinking more along the lines of propaganda à la russe.

Are they actually from the Philippines, or just editing Filipino pages?

The community more than makes up for it by promoting other autists to positions of authority.

Yeah, the boy bandal does seem like someone missing that phrase sometimes refer to different things than the sum of the words involved.
