I dunno. I think the problem isn't that there's a double standard, just that there's a double standard and everyone is still going on the false pretense that men and women are totez the same. Men have 80% more upper body strength than women, which means that they're a lot stronger. To put it in perspective, the average man can overpower 99.9% of women which is a HUGE percentage. The statistically average woman can hit the statistically average man, and the guy wouldn't really feel much. By contrast the average man can hit the average woman, and she will most definitely feel it.

If a man and a woman have the same intent behind assaulting a target, the only real difference is what their bodies are capable of. Controlling for scenario, if a man assaults a woman out of reflex or intends to gently assault a woman, their intentions are far less sinister than those of a woman who assaults a man with the intention of doing the greatest harm possible, even if the target suffers the same outcome. etc.
