So I finally decided to unsubscribe from /u/TheJesseCox's channel. I feel embarrassed saying that this guy ever meant something to me, but his videos helped me out of a bad situation. He even responded to one of my questions on a Q&A (I was "Jinxmenow", in "Revenge of the Q&A: Hero Codes And Stuff"). I was really in a dark place, and I really looked up to Jesse, I really did, and now, well... I'm better now, or at least as good as anyone on this subreddit can be, and I can respect him for that - but that was him years ago.

And it's not even the fact that he hates Barron or whatever. It's that he's a bitch who can't apologize. He did this exact same thing back when he said he was going to "beat the shit out of" a guy who insulted his mom and got his fans (almost 385,000 worth) to dogpile on him on twitter. He was like "I'm sorry that this became such a big deal, but that guy was a dickhead and he deserved it". I can't see him as anything other than an asshole.

I know that it's kind of pathetic to write multiple paragraphs about a chubby ginger guy who plays videogames for a living and "what he means to me". I know that he's never going to read this, and even if he did he'd just laugh at me and block me. I'm just saying this here since I can't say it anywhere else (you should see /r/Shaboozey, they're all kissing his ass over these tweets) - I'm really disappointed in Jesse. I never thought the guy I used to think so much of would turn out to be such a lolcow. People say "never meet your heroes", but considering how big social media is, meeting your heroes has never been so easy.

This will probably get me made fun of here but...

I'm in the same boat as you. used to really respect him and he really helped me in a rough spot in my life and seeing how he has behaved the past couple days has made me lose all respect I had for him. I don't even disagree with him but the way he is expressing his opinion, I feel, is just kinda toxic.

I thought he was better than other internet celebs who would .@ or quote tweet people so their following can dog pile and harass them but I guess I was wrong.

If you see this /u/TheJesseCox I still thank you for helping me in that rough spot in life but you have become so toxic these past couple days that it would be best for me to just unfollow and unsub.

I would say this to you on twitter but you would probably quote tweet me and have your fans dogpile and harass me for disagreeing with you than listening to what I have to say.

Same. I've enjoyed a lot of his stuff, but I'm unsubscribing too. His comments about Barron crossed the line.

It's always been an unspoken rule in politics that you don't go after the kids. It's one thing to poke at a politician's wife (or even adult children), because presumably they're old enough to deal with it.

It's not right for people to sling mud at a ten year old. I can't respect someone who thinks that's okay.

Sorry, /u/TheJesseCox, but I'm out.

I just wanted to say that was some of deepest writing I've seen here (i know shallow pool and all that). So well done. And it really feels outta place. Lol

I don't even know who that is.

Give some context or there's no drama.

After seeing the pictures, I can only conclude this was just an elaborate ruse to sell hats. After seeing how well Trump did who can blame them.
