BACKGROUND:

On Twitter, @Deadspin writer snidely confronts stories of Ted Cruz's alleged basketball skills with a tweet asking for proof of him playing ball, after which this happens:

Then Cruz was like:

Then the Internet gods promptly declared Ted Cruz the official winner of the internet for that day, whilst laughter and merriment rang throughout the Seven Kingdoms.

Adding further insult to the already injured @Deadspin, a wild Private Joker appeared and made a hilarious change to the company's Wikipedia page, which someone screen-capped before it was taken down:

Apparently, that plus Cruz's many Twitter supporters zeroing in on @Deadspin and giving writer Ashley Feinberg - the original Cruz proof-requester - a great deal of shit about her shitty publication getting its fucking shit owned by Ted....

...resulted in Deadspin's "actual editor" Tim Marchman issuing a Very Big Challenge to certain excessively mouthy Cruz supporters, who he claims were emailing mean things to his employee. The actual challenge is the third tweet down.

At which point, semi-retired MMA fighter Tim Kennedy tweets in response:

"I'm your Huckleberry."
