German WWII vet does an AMA, gets asked about the "literally Hitler" meme. Redditors take his measured answer with typical grace and aplomb by comparing everyone they disagree with to Hitler

I can take a 9-inch dildo up my butt, because I'm an adult and I solve my own problems

I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

That's gas chamber talk, bot and I'll have none of that here.

Adolf Hitler was a socialist who thought Germany needed to correct for too many Jewish people being too wealthy. Bernie Sanders is a socialist who feels the U.S. needs to correct for too many white people being to wealthy.

Bernie Sanders regularly speaks about too many white people being too wealthy, it's EXACTLY like what Hitler used to say about the Jewish people.

Found Tom Perkins' Reddit account.

Where will you be when the mayocide begins?

What is a mayocide, and why do you think that there will be one?

/r/drama is a pro-white genocide sub. Git out chalky-ass yogurt face.

oh, lol, is mayocide slang for white genocide?

I don't really subscribe to the white genocide conspiracy theory. Why do you think it's going to happen?

Because feminists and BLM are literally hitler.

Cause we're going to make it happen fam

I think it's more the rhetoric of putting the home country above and beyond all others, to the point where international norms shouldn't apply, etc. Additionally the idea of restoring a country's lost greatness is pretty similar. Not saying Trump is Hitler, but I think it's these similarities more than any racism that is behind these comparisons

Yeah, that's obviously what people mean when they compare Trump to Hitler. They're pointing out their strong nationalistic policies and NOT accusing him of being a Nazi killbot, of course. That's why nobody accused him of being a genocide monger and nobody said he's going to put Muslims/gays in concentration camps.

Is the Trump/Hitler question going to be asked in every WWII AMA?

The wwii vets should just start answering it in the post before the AMA even starts.

At least until Trump leaves offices, or completes his purge of all non-mayoskins.

Not until every last chalkface is dead

Is the Trump/Hitler question going to be asked in every WWII AMA?

Yes.

I think it's more the rhetoric of putting the home country above and beyond all others

You mean, like governments do.

How young do you actually have to be to think it's alarming that a government puts its own constituency above that of others? Seriously.

/u/zaptoad, tell me a little about yourself.

The real derp moment comes from realizing that there's for real people that would read this and think "Hmmm, just another Trump supporter trying to justify nationalist xenophobic racism" not knowing that really, no joke, that's what actual countries do: the government is there to promote the interests of the country that it works for.

It's not a hard concept but I've seen some people (a lot of people) actually assume that this isn't the case.

NEWSFLASH THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT WORKS FOR FRENCH CITIZENS

Sovereignty is a hallmark of a fascist state.

Not sure if the German government works for its citizens currently.

I heard an immigrant broke your teeth with cement and your your skin with fire hoses.

I'm in 'merica, we get to carry guns in the free states.

It does, it's just that only leftists and Muslims are considered citizens.

I love how his answer was "I don't know what you mean by literally Hitler, but yeah he just might be literally Hitler".

He says Trump and Hitler are notjing alike. Moron brigades from /r/ETS and /r/politics chose to ignore it.

If only all of these enlightened people would have voted...
