No, stay away. That $250,000 house that Californians think is a "steal" is actually worth $160,000 and are just driving the price up for no fucking reason. It's part of the reason why costs in my city are ballooning. My folks built a house for $110,000 in 1990 and a similar sq ft house sold for $230,000 just recently. A couple years ago it was "appraised" (i.e. overinflated by the tax office so you have to pay the city more) for $170,000.
And this is why I'm excited about cities and states making their own minimum wage laws. You can't tell me a place with million dollar shit hole apartments and $2,000 rents should have the same wage laws as a place with $500,000 mansions and $400 rent.
