Oh, let me guess: Real money only has value because we have collectively decided it has value, therefore buttcoins are totally valid?

My favorite line of reasoning like this is the goldbugs who argue that gold is a better currency because it has "intrinsic value" whereas the printed dollar doesn't. Always fun to see them explain exactly how gold has intrinsic value without busting a tautological nut.

"Is gold a currency?"

"No."

Ron Paul vs. Our Savior Mr Bernke

In my fan fiction of reality masterfully wise Satoshi purposefully introduced the deflationary flaw into Bitcoin such that it would serve to test & prove the strength of the blockchain while also collapsing eventually as a currency. This limits what could be a huge grant of wealth to random goldbugs and nerds.

I'll never not laugh at the fun simplicity of calling bitcoin buttcoin.

The folks at /r/economics are actually nice to him. Nobody answered him with copypasta and they take the time to explain shit to him.

I'm surprised anyone has the patience for that. It's like talking to a below average intelligence brick wall.

Except the brick wall has aspergers and just took meth.
