I really hate it that people will say something stupid and blame it all on drugs. I have been doing a large amounts of weed for a very long time and I never once said or even though of any of the shit he did.

Only thing to keep in mind is that smoking is pretty much instantaneous, so if you want to get higher you just have to smoke more.
Edibles take a half hour, sometimes longer to kick in, so it's a little harder to get the goldilocks level of high unless you know how much you normally ingest. Start slow, you can always eat more or smoke a little once your up there because seriously couch lock/mild visuals are no uncommon in higher doses
To be fair 800 mg thc is actually an insane amount. I wouldnt doubt it could cause a psychotic/delusional episode. The estimated lethal thc dose for humans is 15k-70k (wide range found in mice models).
Prolonged marijuana can precipitate psychosis in genetically predisposed people, given that and the INSANE dose i wouldnt rule out a psychotic break.
I have been smoking weed daily for over 25 years. I haven't had any kind of psychotic break or really any bad thing other than the munchies and finding Pauly Shore funny. Really anything people take can cause issues if they're genetically predisposed to do so. Nothing is 100% safe with 100% of he population. I always advise people to do things in small doses because you really have no idea exactly how it will effect you and how long. I knew a guy that took 4 hits of acid his first time. It eventually ended up with me playing babysitter. Since I knew what it was like to be frying on acid, it was easier for me to help him along. The guy pretty much refused to touch anything other than weed after that.
