Matthew McConaughey makes a comment saying he thinks people should not be as divisive towards Trump. AV Club spergs out at the idea of a Hollywood celebrity not fighting for the glorious resistance.

Your condescending, contradictory bullshit isn't attractive to anyone except your frothing, basement-dwelling, virgin army.

The only thing good to come out of AV Club is GWAR covering Carry On My Wayward Son.

Every GWAR cover on AV Club is amazing (especially She Bop). Most of the other things are shit.

It has fallen far.

Trump is not a fascist alright alright alright?

altright?

you spelled stupid cunt wrong

Trump isn't a fascist. Given how stupid the Trump protestors are, i'm much more sympathetic towards Trump.

Who gives a flying fuck what any celebrity thinks about politics?

Enough to vote one into office it seems lel.

And Obama was a restaurant critic before he became president

But not a celebrity one.

Depends on how you define celebrity

True. But he was a senator prior to being a maybe-celebrity restaurant critic.

??? Obama was a national Senator from Illinois and before that a state Senator. Before he was in public office he was a constitutional law professor.

But he did review a few restaurants and just like trump, a minor thing he did should overshadow all the other shut he did in the 40 years before he became president

Yeah man, every time I try to talk about the accomplishments President Obama had reviewing restaurants, people only want to talk about the drone strikes.

Not the first one either.

Ronald Reagan should be the first and last name on any list of "entertainer becomes politician".

He was a governor first though. And a union boss

George Washington was a celebrity too

Not using Reagan as an example

Al Franken, Ahnold, Jesse Ventura, Dollar Bill Bradley, Dick Butkis

Sonny Bono

Dude you missed fucking prime example: Jesse Ventura was a governor

People will vote for anyone who can speak with confidence

To be fair a huge part of the reason he got elected was because the democrats and republicans spent the previous term in complete gridlock, and both candidates for governor ran pretty dirty campaigns.

When they let him in the debate and the two of them started arguing he basically said "vote for me if you're sick of this" and that swung enough people that he won a plurality.

Dude you missed fucking prime example

"Cooter"#Political_career) from the Dukes of Hazzard?

Dude you missed fucking prime example

"Cooter" from The Duke of Hazzard

Trump was on Wrestlemania too he's technically a wrestler

Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler too. Second American Civil War confirmed?

Ahnold

hah

The same kind of jackass who care what an AV Club editor thinks about politics.

I don't know why people keep going there. The charm wears off after the third or forth AV Club "review" you read where the reviewer misunderstands the obvious joke and/or plot device because they're too busy finding a way to cram this week's twitter political clickbait into a recap of a television show.

I sort of agree, no one likes someone that changes their views. Plus didn't this guy star in an anti-trump video two weeks ago. So this would lead the average person to believe the last 2 weeks seemed so good to this guy that he decided to go from anti- to neutral on trump

But the guy who said “time is a flat circle” should be able to see that, without resistance, we’re headed straight for 1933.

Paging /u/the_reason_trump_won

This tbh

And like most of Rust's meme aphorisms, anyone who says that has the political credibility of a bullied high schooler.

The sky is falling! 4th Reich! It's anuddah shoah!
