From what I experienced, anti-fascist declare they act violently towards fascism because of its sheer volume of harm on the society.
They usually claim that this system of ideologies is wrong in the fundamentals, because of the involvement of superiority, oppression of various groups of people, who would not normally deserve (=not criminals), limiting freedom of speech, and so on. Therefore, fascism is incompatible with the norms on which our life is currently based on, and even disrupts it, which means it must be eradicated.
To be honest, I really can't argue with it. Freedom of speech stops at the point when it's about ruining or worsening others' lives, literally take a look at Reddit, and how /r/altright was banned for doxxing!
