I know now I'll never have any flair again and I've come to terms with that.

I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

how do u know that they're /k/?

IIRC they posted a link to the stream on /k/. Plus the /pol/ "dis gun done shoots niggers hurr durr" talk.

Man, whenever a shooter hits there's always whispers that they participated in certain online communities, but I never see any proof. It's a shame that this sort of thing isn't more reported to put pressure on the places hosting them to get rid of them.

Gross. That's far worse than shooting protestors.

telling watchers to "stay white."

What did they mean by this?

Don't become black.

And this is coming from the guys chimping out at a BLM-event?

Oh shit, I remember that catchphrase, it's a reference to a greentext made during the primaries.

got it in my meme folder

i prefer my few quality memes over your many stale normie memes tyvm

Take a shower regularly duh

I have vague memories of kids saying that for awhile when I was little. I have no idea why in retrospect...

Reminds me of Sam Hyde.

Holy shit, how isn't this more well-known?

put pressure on the places hosting them to get rid of them

u wot m8?

That kind of stuff is what drives people to imageboards. They want the image of "dangerous place" and "wild wasteland of the internet".

There's only so long that a place can consistently produce produce terrorists and other politically-motivated violent people before there's some sort of external pressure to shut it down. /pol/'s the internet's biggest far-right recruiting and organizational hub, and if all of the right-wing violence that occurs in the US is connected to it, and the violence continues to happen, then the feds are going to do something about /pol/. 4chan isn't really even the 'wild west' anymore since the diversity of opinions has shrunk, it's much more heavily moderated than it was before, and the motivations there are now overwhelmingly politically-oriented rather than 'anything goes' like it used to be.

The feds already do, these places are heavily monitored. On 4chan, shit is basically controlled by the FBI. Whenever there's a shooting with evidence that someone posted their plan beforehand, they actually freeze the whole board so that the post won't get deleted.

If they did actually do something about it and delete the board, then all that would happen is the ideologues move onto a different site, like 8/pol/ which is based in a different country and the IPs are harder to look at, or to a less popular site where they're harder to keep track of.

/pol/ constantly produces terrorists

kek. this is like saying stormfront constantly produces terrorists. why you want 4chan to go down so badly snally? get cyber bullied one too many times?

kek. this is like saying stormfront constantly produces terrorists.

It hasn't been connected to many cases of violence.

why you want 4chan to go down so badly snally? get cyber bullied one too many times?

I would like 4chan to die a proper death before it transforms completely into something different than what made it unique and historically important. You wouldn't understand because you were still in elementary school at best during its golden age. It no longer serve the purpose that it used to. If it stays up for long last then whatever, I'll still browse it, but its reputation in history will be tarnished as it loses its significance in internet culture and becomes nothing more than a political recruitment and organization forum with a few small subforums attached at the side.

Every kill begins with /k/

wo

They were well known tripfags.

tripfagging

Are you sure they weren't arrested for that?

Tripfagging gets you the death penalty

I remember they were taking footage of the protests to post on /k/ and /pol/. I believe I have it saved somewhere, but I'll have to dig it up when I get home from work.

Please do!

Here you go. I believe there's more, but this one is a video of their livestream at the time.

Also little video they dropped before arriving. Note that this is a temporary video and will probably be gone by today.

Honestly, watching these videos made me realize how besides some use of slurs here and there, they really didn't do anything like bragging about killing blacks or go there with the intent of shooting anyone. They pretty much say "yeah, we're just here to look around, film for /pol/, add some commentary. And we also brought a gun." Hope the guy gets an appeal.

So the way the thread reads you'd think this was an open-shut "some guy yelled racist things, spat in the face of the protesters, and then opened fire onto a crowd of peaceful protesters who did not do nothing". But that's not exactly the case. Even though before going to the protest they were laughing about bringing a gun and "dindus" and stuff, the actual event where they were chased down an alley by a mob and punched before firing would probably be a legit self defense situation. However, by showing texts and videos of them actively bragging about wanting to shoot blacks, it gave the jury good reason to believe that they provoked the protesters into a fight before pulling a gun.

Some people wanted to point out that the situation was somewhat greyer than the thread portrayed. These people did not have the appropriate justice boner that everyone else had, and thus were downvoted immediately. If their initial posts weren't negative, their subsequent comments were.

"How does one "lure" a group of rioting protesters "down a street" in order to attack them?"

"He was punched in the face and ran away from the crowd while being chased and continuously attacked."

"If you watch the videos from the shooting your gonna be hard pressed to say it wasn't self defense."

"This case is not cut and dry."
