I wouldn't say it sucked, but it had obvious flaws. Most notably, it took 13 episodes to tell an 8 episode story.

If they had cut the number of episodes and adjusted the pacing accordingly, it would've been a solid series. As it is, it draaaaaaaaaaaaags in the second act.

At around the 3 episode mark I was like "yeah this is okay. Not perfect or whatever but I'm not expecting Shakespeare, and it's only got a couple of episodes left" and then they spend the next 10 episodes doing their best to pad it out as much as possible, only to have one of the most underwhelming episodes ever.

Does bojack get good? I watched like 4 episodes of the first series and gave up. Nothing happened.

Beginning of the first season starts as a mildly witty comedy about a washed up actor, pretty standard stuff. By the end of the first season you will realize that the show is about a narcissistic self-destructive sociopath that is slowly ruining the lives of everyone around him in attempts to better himself in the guise of a comedy. There are some incredibly heavy episodes throughout the series so if you are looking for a good gut punch to go along with your comedy then I would at least finish the 1st season.

It's probably the best serious look at clinical depression on TV. The jokes - particularly the gags about the animal people - get pretty good too, but the show's real strength is in it's serious look at habitual self-destructive behavior.

He tends to bury his head in the sand rather than face a problem like with his brother, but that's a very common problem among normal people so it's not a major character flaw like the rest of the characters have. Stranger Things was damned good, Narcos is fucking amazing, and while it's not my favorite show Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards are both well done shows that get a ton of hype. Their Marvel lineup is the best out there right now. Daredevil is one of the few times where watching a blind man get his ass kicked has given me an erection. Jessica Jones was decent too if only for David Tennets performance. Bojack Horseman has been considered genious in a lot of circles. F is for Frank is a pretty solid animated show. Love is some of Gillian Jacobs best work.

It's a satire and not nearly as hamfisted as people would think, the main character is portrayed as right in some aspects by kind of an asshole in others who uses her confrontational nature to mask her identity issues. It's an alright movie overall.
