Haven't Sikh and Hindu groups been complaining about Muslim rape/grooming gangs for years and basically been ignored/dismissed? They also complain about these gangs being labeled as Asian when they are almost always Pakistani/Muslim.
They were. One of the interesting things to come out of the Rotherham investigation was that whilst the police were dismissing white parents whose daughters were caught up in this, they were going to Sikh and Hindu temples to warn the girls to be careful of precisely this thing.
It wasn't so much ignored as much as viewed as a problem between the communities and dealt with wholly inadequately.
