He probably shouldn't have worded it that way however if you actually look at the context he's not saying 'niggers are stupid'. He's pointing out that people who make claims like this aren't experts in the field they are making claims about. He's making those statements as examples of things that ignorant people say. Me saying 'I don't need to know biology to know black people are dumb' is not the same as me saying 'people make the argument that they don't need to know biology to know that black people are dumb'.
Yet another example of people being mad at a word instead of the context in which the word is said.
Like I said, I think it was stupid to word it that way. He could have made the exact same argument without using the word. The word added nothing of substance to the argument and was meant to be dramatic. The reason I think it was stupid is not because what he said is wrong, but rather because he should know people would get upset over it regardless of context. Alienating these people and/or risking the possible repercussions isn't worth the dramatic affect you get out of using it in this context.
I don't think he should get banned for this because the context is more important than the word. I understand why twitch banned him and that it is within their rights. What he did was silly butt being offended by this is also silly.
The only reason he's stopped using slurs is his fans might not understand he's allowed to use them cause he knows you should only call cheesers in starcraft spics and niggers and his fans might not know that's the only appropriate context.

People need to understand that everyone is free to express his opinion as long as he isn't hurting or harming other individuals. Yes, you can be offended and you are free to feel offended as much as you want but the thing they said to you isn't half as bad as the thing you did to them which is physically affecting their world in your retaliation.
It's always surprised me how you can't even use taboo words self-referentially in the US. Never seen that need to use circumlocutions to just talk about them in Europe, ... except in religious contexts.
