/u/definitelymyrealname - how often and to what severity were you beat up in grade school that would lead you to write such an obnoxiously pompous and haughty post?
I'm not really sure where I come off as pompous or haughty unless you're taking everything I wrote literally. I was trying to imitate his tone. He's some rich kid that didn't get into a school because he's too much of an autist and his response was to start flinging shit and insulting the school he couldn't get into.
Guaranteed admission, a lot less expensive, and those are only the ones in Oregon! Since it's online, you can even go to any of the other cheap colleges with 100% admittance rates in the other 49 states if you're too traumatized from anything with the word "Oregon" in it:
So the program is a little different than normal. It's for students that already have bachelors degrees in a different subject. If you already have a degree, you've taken all the required math, and you're able to get in to the school you can complete a BS in computer science online in 1 year. I think they have 1, 2 and 3 year options actually. There's only one other program like it in the US AFAIK (something in Florida) so he may really not have any other options. You can kind of understand why someone who already finished a degree doesn't want to start all over again. The problem is that the engineering college at Oregon State is semi-reputable and there are a shitload of people that want CS degrees but can't quit their day job so you end up in this weird situation where a lot of really well qualified people are applying to this program. I kind of understand why they turned him down. He's obviously a massive autist (I'd pay actual money to read his admissions essay) and if I was admissions I'd be wary about admitting someone that inexperienced. Online programs have high dropout rates everywhere and when you add in a somewhat difficult engineering degree that's being completed at an accelerated rate your average 22 year old with no real work experience is not going to finish.
I almost feel bad for him. He clearly has fucking issues and he's reached the point in his life where his grades don't really matter anymore. If I was an autistic alpaca I'd try to cling to my school performance as long as possible too.
If he really had as good a job offer in investment banking and is now switching fields and immediately trash-talking his new peers, he's just some idiot from the business world who thinks that skill set makes him overqualified for any other job.
When I went to hand in my dissertation, I discovered to my horror that I had missed the contents page out; I had to rip the spiral binder off with my fingernails, causing the tips of my fingers to bleed onto the pages. So I did the only reasonable thing and threw the whole lot down the stairs of the department. I think that quite surprised the students coming up the stairs.
I suspect my dissertation suffered more from being in the area of English literature - hardly much use for a sociology degree.

Half his post history is ranting about baldness and the other half is this. Jesus.
