So bad DIY drama is always fun because there's invariably a five-figure price tag attached, and this is no exception.
OP decided he'd build an underground drug bunker, complete with furry wall inspired by Get Him to the Greek. He did this by cutting up and burying a storage container, and presumably bribing the contractors who helped him out.
Unsurprisingly, people have been quick to point out that he built a totally illegal firetrap and everyone involved should be sentenced to having to live in the damn thing. OP of course has ignored the haters and is keen on putting it on AirBnB.
I honestly feel like the OP had seen Colin Furze build his bunker and thought "hey that's a good idea", except that Furze had constant inspectors over and the whole thing was funded part of a Sky 1 show called "You, Me and the Apocalypse".
How do you not realise that having the only exit be a Fucking ladder is a horrible idea. Also ventilation. That's just really basic shit that anyone should realise.
Breathing snobs who think they're too good for methane, propane, carbon monoxyde and dioxyde, and radon (basically everything that would settle in that box and stay in it).
They fucking forget basic shit that can be a problem in the future.
Because they never fucking ask people if they're doing it right, they just do it with the assumption everything will work out. Even just going to a hardware store and talking to the staff about the materials can help you find anything you may have missed.
More importantly though, if you ever find yourself thinking "I'll bury a shipping container in my backyard." You need to check yourself into outpatient mental health for an evaluation.
A fucking fart would never disappear. It would collect the residue of farts and people from different era would come and use it to collect data on our diets.
It's not my cousin just friend that tries to bang my mother. Anyways he got kitchen cabinets without nobs and showed no indication how to open them. Combine that with the fact he had different variations what type of cabinets and them using a push latch system.
So combine the fact push latch won't unlock if not pressed correctly at the right spot and there is several different types.
It was so fucking hilarious watch him trying "cook food" when he spent most of his time trying to open the cabinets.
Shit ended with him placing red dots on the cabinets too show where to open.
When I saw the title as "underground" I was like, hmm, no. First pics it was above ground? so I was like, yeah, cool. Then he literally put the fucker underground and my claustrophobia went through the roof.
Supposedly, you can build a fallout shelter for $10,000. This has the added benefit of being able to give protection against nuclear attacks, as contrasted against the shipping container idea, which has the opposite effect of killing the occupants even if nothing exceptional happens.
Dude, you're a fucking idiot. You go hiking, something happens, everyone already knows how to deal with it. It's happened a million times before, procedures are in place. You get the air-ambulance out there if necessary, and chances are you can recover from most fuckups.
If something catches fire in that thing, it's game over. No second chances. The only way out is the hole that literally all of the flames will converge on.
So, no, you're talking utter bullshit. Risk is a scale, not a fucking boolean. Hiking or climbing trees, low risk, building underground death traps, really fucking high risk.
Well you can hang out with the guy's mom in the safety of the house, I'll be down in the death trap with OP smoking weed and playing Xbox Kinect Star Wars Dance Party.
You go hiking, something happens, everyone already knows how to deal with it. It's happened a million times before, procedures are in place. You get the air-ambulance out there if necessary, and chances are you can recover from most fuckups.
lmao where is that you're going hiking? When I go hiking the closest "air ambulance" is 4 hours away minimum and you have to hope the bitch ass pilot isn't on their period because they refuse to go out for stupid reasons all the time. In fact, the air ambulance might as well not be a thing, there's very little chance they're going to pick you up from a hiking accident. You'll have to rely on the local SAR to extricate you and get you to a hospital and then if you're in really bad shape the life flight will transport you. The nearest hospital worth shit is 6 hour drive away and the closest hospital of any kind (some rural shit where you better not have anything worse than splinter) is 3 hours. Hiking is not some activity that's been magically made safe. The shit we do has risks but we do it anyways because it's fun.
This thing is not "really fucking high risk". If I owned it I'd strip out everything flammable, put in a bunch of fire extinguishers and spend as much as possible on air monitoring equipment but if you listen to the NEET brigade of the fire marshal's office it's the most dangerous building in existence. I've been in far more dangerous structures before and you probably have too.
Also how it a complicated rescue? Strap them to a back board, get them vertical, have two firefighters on top pull and the ones in the bunker push. If 2 highschoolers can do it in a pool with neck injury, 4-6 firefighters sure as hell can.
The best part is : I bet that now the OP who came up with this horror will use it even more just out of spite, to show the mean people online how wrong they were. And probably try to get as many people as possible in it.
That's almost a certainty, and in a year or so someone will link to a story about how a bunch of idiots burned themselves up in an underground death trap. Literally the only positive thing about that 'bunker' is that the people will already be buried, you'll just have to put the tombstones above it.

What if /u/o2pb plan was to lure some backpacking college kids to his lovebunker so he can gas them to death? Sick fuck if you ask me.

I was thinking more of practical shit like. How to clean? What if somethings breaks? Can it be refitted easily for another purpose?
n/a MegaSeedsInYourBum 2017-02-18
When it catches fire you won't have to worry about cleaning.
Then either it starts a fire or you have to spend hours bringing things down to fix it.
It can be a gas chamber, blast furnace, or rape dungeon also. If you put a hose down there it'll be a drowning pit too.
n/a Minimum_T-Giraff 2017-02-18
Dude just imagine cleaning that fucking place is nightmare of itself.

Yeah, why the hell wouldn't you just dig out some steps down to it and give it a door?
Then you could even replace the sofa when it gets trashed without having to saw it into pieces and pass it up through an overhead hatch.
But hey, maybe he just really digs the 'rape dungeon' vibe.
n/a raging_dope_fiend 2017-02-18
Also, shipping containers weren't built to be buried underground, period. Just google "underground shipping container".
n/a BannedFromImzy 2017-02-18
Not only are these not meant to be buried, he took a chunk out of the structural integrity by opening a hole in it.
I hope it rains while he's inside and the pressure bend the container enough so that his roof opening is wrecked. Or that it just floods.

I don't know shit about structural integrity like that so I won't chime in on that but at least he acknowledged it before putting weight on it.
I mean if this had a cellar stairway going into it instead of a ladder, would people be shitting on it so hard?
n/a jlong1202 2017-02-18
Me either. But those are only really strong on the 4 corners of it
And yes because that hvac system is dangerous as fuck. That fan is not moving NEARLY as much air as he thinks it is
