Otherkin.com was pretty much the only otherkin forum that self-monitored itself for "fluff" and roleplayers, which often resulted in hostility towards newcomers that were deemed to fit into these categories (though newcomers were sometimes hostile as well). As such, the "Introductions" forum was a hotbed for drama. Almost of it is gone, but fragments remain. Here they are:

Hah, I had forgotten about the types who thought they were Na'vi. Makes me feel only early middle age again.

That trend came and went very quickly, and now they're back to believing that they're animu and video game characters.

This is what you get for throwing your kids in front of TV and internet with no supervision. They get fooled into thinking imagination can become reality.
