Random commenters dare to suggest that an unusually warm Feb. 23 is not proof of global warming. /r/Toronto loses its cool.

Your condescending, contradictory bullshit isn't attractive to anyone except your frothing, basement-dwelling, virgin army.

No thanks, I'll stick to less sensitive topics like immigration, Islam, and the Holocaust.

Climate change is such cis-pile of ignorance topic. On the one side you have retards that deny climate change then you have the other retards trying to stop climate change.

almost as if this climate change was largely caused by humans

The climate is ever changing however we can affect it.

Islam The Holocaust was a mistake.

I like how they downvote both the morons who think climate change isn't real, and the one very reasonable person who recognizes a single warm day is not proof of it.

One day doesn't prove it, but the fact that every year consistently breaks records is a pretty strong piece of evidence.

true, but irrelevant.

These are the same people that get up in arms when someone says "Last night we got two inches of 'global warming' so I have to shovel my car out".

ONE DAY DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING, WEATHER AND CLIMATE AREN'T THE SAME THING!!!!

If you so much as question anything anyone says on the "right side" of an issue on this website prepare for the hate.

OK, I'm sorry, but you're an obvious moron and a faggot to boot! Look, it's simple logic. If you disagree with me then, practically by definition, you're an idiot and should be shot. What part of that can't you understand?

You need to stop being such a faggot and learn to not be so wrong all the time. Jesus.

Why do you have to be so mean all the time?

Shut up faggot!

Sorry. Carry on.

Please do not bully me :(

That's exactly why I posted it.

I like all the Very Smrt People who think they know anything.

Be kind. OP is a retard, who denies global warming.

kys cumskin

They ain't wrong, but they're also probably wrong.

Funny how that works.

Maybe u/ryancantdrum but ryancanbedumb

tries to make a joke, incites a fucking comment war. blehh

I'm just waiting to see what those $25 million mansions in Miami and the Florida Keys are gonna look like with schools of jellyfish swimming through them.

Underwater ruins usually look pretty cool.

>implying anyone in drama is healthy enough to live that long

I think the fact that Humans as a species arent even a eye blink in the course of planetary history and we think we can stop something that has wiped out millions of species before us is pretty funny. Regardless of whether we make it worse or not, as long as it happens after I die I could give two fucks less.

i know that the american public education system is garbage, but your posts often make that too uncomfortably real

It's fucking hilarious when you serious post.

Your tears fuel the rebuilding of America.

Pandas evolved to into killing themselves by poor diet, humans have evolved to the point where our industrial growth is killing us at a faster rate than the planet plans on killing us anyways. I dont see a huge difference.

Lead the way, kys.

I plan on giving up the ghost with liver failure, thanks.

I was not actually serious, I don't really want /u/lvl99SkrubRekker to kill himself, in fact his world-weary cynicism reminds me very strongly of my freshman year, when we discussed all kinds of stuff and this roommate was, "When I turn 30 I'm getting the golden shot of heroin" and we all were, like, whoa, that makes some sense despite being maybe a bit too radical.

So I have all reasons to hope that he'll grow out of it, is what I'm saying.

i was just memeing, i got that exact response from /u/wwyzzerdd and it made me laugh

basically, what i'm saying is it's fucking hilarious when you serious post.

What if he's white tho

Huh, this new input caused me to reevaluate my previous conclusions! Thank you!

Pandas evolved into killing themselves by poor diet

No.

Yes. Their stomach bacteria isnt meant for a purely vegetarian diet, it has none of the marker bacteria. They are omnivores, but they spend at minimum 10 hours a day eating 20+ pounds of bamboo, which has to be forcefully suplimented because it only provides 14% of their nutritional needs.

Wow. Sucks to be a panda I guess.

I love the baseless conclusion these idiots continue to reach that global warming has no possible end result other than all humans dying.

I hope I live to see the day that these morons realize what a political smokescreen it was.

Canadiana being dumb? Sky still blue, water still wet, global warming still a Chinese hoax.

I am on the right side of history. You are on the left side of it.

Anyone who lives below the 49th parallel are not true Canadians. Fucking pussies.

/u/Peekman you are an idiot

Here’s a fun fact: In 1975, some people were worried about global cooling.

Nobody cares what "some people" talking to a magazine think. The only thing that matters is what is published in respectable peer-reviewed journals.

For the period of 1965 to 1979 220/264 published climate papers supported global cooling.

This is better, but false (no wonder you gave no citation). Over that period only 7 papers predicted global cooling and 44 predicted global warming.

"An enduring popular myth suggests that in the 1970s the climate science community was predicting “global cooling” and an “imminent” ice age, an observation frequently used by those who would undermine what climate scientists say today about the prospect of global warming. A review of the literature suggests that, on the contrary, greenhouse warming even then dominated scientists' thinking as being one of the most important forces shaping Earth's climate on human time scales."

"The Myth of the 1970s Global Cooling Scientific Consensus"
- T.C. Peterson et al. Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society. Jan 2009

Additionally, the 7 "global cooling" papers represented on 12% of the times that papers in the review were cited, meaning that these "global cooling" papers did not dominate academic thought.

Why would you waste your time replying with a walk of text to an idiot?

Half of it is a direct quote from the abstract - hardly effort.

Oh... sort of stopped reading at idiot. My bad.

I like how Toronto loses its shit and here in Texas going "pssh, y'all some basic bitches."
