Last friday Gucci maine released this song, in the bit with Nikki Minaj she throws shade at an unnamed female rapper that many interpreted to be Remy Ma (popular in the 00s rapper who just got out of jail). Ma had been accused of throing shade at minaj in an early song but denied it.
The next day Ma posted this on Instagram and then released this dis track aimed at Minaj, including a defense of miley cyrus, mariah carey and taylor swift and also accusing her of being a groupie, that she doesn't write her own songs, has bum implants, gohoreea, her brother is a peado and she is captin of the cum squad.
This was widely regarded as a savage and vindictive shellacking of Minaj, it spawned thousands of shocked reaction gifs and multiple cliff notes style breakdowns of it and everyone included.
Minaj fires back, at...one of the guys mentioned in the dis track for not immediately denying that they had sex
Shades of meek mill/hitler in his bunker as Minaj posts a photo about how she's sold lots of records and a video of beyonce saying she's the rap queen.

I know rap beefs are near-universally kayfabe, but do they have to make it this obvious? Come on, you're beefing with a rapper who just got out of jail and is trying to use the jail stint to resuscitate her long-dead career? Last time she was popular was 10+ years ago? Idk man, its possible your right that its all just a stunt, but social media and ease of distribution how can anything done by celebrities not be considered a marketing tactic by the public (speculating) or said celebrities (strategizing). Even so who can blame her for trying to get back in the game.
Considering there's only been a handful of popular women rappers since Remy's incarceration and Nicki's rise, how's she gonna get her name in front of a million people who either forgot about her or don't know her? Diss the one rapper calling herself queen.. but again she only did after Nicki called her out by name, before it was just some vague one liners from both i think.
Frankly though, rap has always been about talking shit and leaving the other person speechless, if you go by that "Battlerap logic" Remy's killing her fat ass.
