What I meant by "I have independently thought of pretty much every branch of psychology I've come across" is that every time I stumbled across a Wikipedia page for a certain philosophy or philosophical question or philosopher famous for a certain theory or anything like that, it was always shit that had me like "huh, I think about that all the time."
Still pretty sure this is strong evidence that I'm ridiculously intelligent. Of course, also just evidence that people overrate philosophers, and probably everything any philosopher is famous for was thought of by some non-famous person before them.
I definitely understand psychology better than people with degrees. People with degrees think "psychoanalysis" means the type of conjecture Freud did - they literally somehow go through a whole college education and career without ever finding out what "analysis" means and applying it to the human brain and calling it what it is. That's just pathetic. There's probably still some stuff they know that I don't, but less so than when I made that comment, and even when I made that comment I was already like 50x more competent at analyzing a human mind than any psychologist I've ever spoken to.
I guess you've gotta separate actual understanding of psychology from memorization of information. Even if the "education" you get pursuing a psychology degree wasn't mixed in with a bunch of psudeo-scientific garbage, it would still not be a replacement for actual understanding of the human brain. Independently comprehending something is different from memorizing a bunch of stuff about it.
I wasn't saying the reddit brony community is some arbiter of undeniable human judgment. When I typed that a lot of people in real life respect me, I considered how differently people can act online from in person, so people respecting me in real life didn't mean the online persona y'all were interacting with wasn't a dickhead. So I also included an example of a reddit community where people liked me.
