It's more possible than you would believe. Marvel has been doing some weird shit with their comics apparently. Comic sales are in the toliet compared to DC comics, so they're probably doing crazy shit in desperation. There's also the theory of trying to edge out the popularity of the X-Men due to movie stuff (X-Men is Fox owned), in favor of the new Marvel "Inhumans".

The "Marvel is killing the X Men" theory is real stupid and doesn't really hold up considering Marvel is relaunching the X line with like 10 new books this year.
