At this point all the genuine "ethics in game journalism" types have wandered off, and what's left are people who think that video games are a front in their race war against (((cultural marxism))).
Nah I think lots of the original ones are still there, spending so much time in the echochamber and endlessly watching SJW cringe compilations 'red-pilled' them from simply disagreeing with the pathetic opinions of a small political faction to becoming pretty nationalistic and racist. Their staunch opposition to a radical group ironically radicalised them. Wouldn't be surprised if places like the_donald are comprised largely of Gamergaters
