It actually wasn't built tough because it was supposed to survive an attack. It was built tough because they expected it to be turned over to storage space after WW2 so they built it strong enough to hold masses of heavy stuff not just normal office furniture and whatever.
I like the people who are suspicious that they cant see any corpses or body parts in the photos. Like they'll just be standing out like in a Quentin Tarantino movie or something.
