I mean, you have to admit that there has been a noticeable decline in quality since EA acquired the company. The last definitively good Bioware game that I remember was Mass Effect 2, which came out during the honeymoon phase of the acquisition. EA did the same thing to Westwood, too. Westwood released Generals right around the time they were acquired, which was their last definitively good game, as well.

Mass Effect 3 was post EA, and it was pretty good - I'd rate it just below 2.

Inquisition was... uneven. When DAI is good, it's really good, but the level design and writing was inconsistent, and some parts were awful to play. Trespasser was an amazing ending DLC though.

the game genuinely plays well and I really enjoy the "open-world" gimmick, I think it suits this particular series. Seems like the dialogue and story took a big hit though from what I've played so far.

I'd say the 6 to 7 out of 10 is a pretty fair score for it, decent game with flaws.

I haven't played more than 3 hours. I'm having a hard time working up the motivation to keep playing. I really hate the first two human squad mates. Story wise, Mass Effect has always been pretty bad, so I'm more forgiving there.

I think the combat is actually really fun, and i love the world they've created. All the various areas (cities, cauldrons, forests, deserts) look lived in, detailed, and amazing.

My main issues are that they're catering to retards by having the main protagonist spell out EVERYTHING when there are enough visual cues in the quests already. It wouldn't have been an issue if they could just tone it down, but that's not a possibility. I also think the camera is your worst enemy when you're fighting flying machines or large T-rex robots.

combat is fun for a bit. They have nothing to mix it up. I got all the weapons in first few hours and the skill tree is too basic to make an actual strategic difference as I level up. The open world I both like and dislike. It was incredible as a first impression. Pretty soon it was just an artificial lengthener as I had to walk through lifeless scenery a thousand times to get to the next mission. The side quests are chores so aside from that the map feels really drab. Its just robots and a big open space. The villages were my favorite locations because something was actually happening

I didn't have an issue with the camera but what really bugged me is the conclusion to its story. It just wasnt good enough to slog through all the repetitive arenas.

everybody smirks at each other after beating the final boss(unsurprisingly considering its a rehash of the same deathbringer we fought like 4 times), camera pans to celebrations, epic music plays, fade to black. So many tropes stuffed into an imaginative concept that it made it unimaginative. They also pull the ultimate cock tease by never even revealing why HADES was acting evil all along. We just know he was activated by someone ROLL CREDITS. Really unsatisfying

Yeah i would've liked to have more villages around as well, or at least more quests sprinkled throughout the Wasteland. I also hoped for one of those giant Horus enemies to come back to life (which would've made sense, since that's where they actually found HADES in), so that was a let-down.

I don't really mind the HADES story at all, though. It's heavily implied that the black guy from Fringe activated him when he salvaged it, which triggered the extinction protocol. From then on out it's just a narrow AI gone rogue.
