This guy isn't a psychologist. The Stanford Prison experiment is pseudo science, and no credible psychologist would seriously cite it for anything:

He isn't citing it. The parent comment is citing it as if it is a respected experiment on human behavior. He is disproving it.

His criticisms aren't that the study is wrong, but that it only shows what a middle aged white man would do.

Which he prefaces by saying it is a narrow sample size and then follows it by saying people aren't inherently evil. He is saying the study was inherently flawed.

No he is saying that the narrow sample size only proves that middle aged white men are proven to be ebbil.

And he's right.

Yelping about poor sampling doesn't disprove anything, it just suggests the effects limited to a smaller subgroup. Which is to say: instead of humans being evil we should conclude middle aged white dudes are evil.

That's still a flawed conclusion though, mayocide aside, because the flaws of the experiment are deeper than "they only tested white dudes."
