There is a certain logic to the argument, so long as you accept the kind of expanded welfare state where the government pays for (or subsidizes) things like talking to a therapist, and you take the view that sex isn't any different to anything else; a prostitute is just a manual laborer, after all. The kind of guy who posts on /r/incels honestly probably would be better served by the government paying for a whore instead of a therapist.

People who believe in both of those make up a non-trivial minority of Westerners, but support for state-funded prostitutes is dismal, even on the left, where the component beliefs are more common. My money is on the difference being explained by people who 'should' support it being grossed out by the idea of sweaty neckbeard sex.

Maybe our incel friend should market it as prostitution for people with disability, there's probably more support for that. Then you just need to expand it to include broader mental issues, and you're golden.
