The SF Sierra Club exists to protect aging hippies' property values. It generates drama in r/SF.

Cool story, bro

The concern is actually far less it's historical significance and more about conducting a study on the effects on SF ground water that tearing down the garage will have.

only in California folks.

God hate Californiens.

Being a Californian is very much like being born on third base and thinking you hit a triple. No, its not your garbage local politics that make your home desirable. And it probably isn't even the municipal governments fault that SF has been expensive for decades, though they try their best to make it more expensive.

The bay area is a garden of eden. A paradise to live in or see. That is the most important thing to understand. All other details are secondary.

What kind of Garden of Eden doesn't have Whataburger?

One with In-N-Out.

Austin has both tho...

So does most of Texas. Where I grew up there is a Whataburger, Five Guys, and In N Out on the same intersection. Down the street is a Dairy Queen and a Braums.

but cats are obligate carnivores

I thought this sub was super against affordable housing and pro zoning deregulation. I'm getting really mixed messages here guys. Are we pro letting ignorant yuppies turn our cities into poorly planned urban hellscapes or against?

Are they white? Are asian and indian people white? mayocide, bussy, etc...

Your making the classic mistake of thinking there is any coherent political philosophy on this sub beyond "fuck you"

I'm against California. Zoned or not.

We should build a wall around California and then just firebomb it tbh.

I don't think anyone with a coherent thought thinks that the housing market in San Francisco is remotely acceptable. Plus it gives people a good reason to shit on liberals since SF is nothing but.

Yeah, that's not the story this subreddit usually tells when there's drama involving gentrification.

Whoa now, don't mistake me for accusing the posters here of having coherent thoughts. ;)
