It's left-wing conformity politics. You have to nod your head in agreement, or you're a deplorable bigot who denies climate change.
The end result is that anyone who fails to conform will be forced to align themselves with the right, so it achieves the same goals as a false flag, but it also achieves left-wing purity goals.
