Little background even though no one cares: random shitty Japanese mobile game gets perceived random shitty anime adaptation to try to shill said game. Show had basically no budget, so animation was 3D and bare-minimum. Also the mobile game died while it was in production. Show suddenly becomes massively popular, and has surprisingly ok effort put into the writing and world building.

Segways in the show are interviews with zoo-keepers about animals from the episode. This results in a huge increase in zoo visits in Japan. Zoos start doing cross-promo to keep momentum going and BAM you have penguin weaboos.

So anime actually did something productive for once.
