On the one hand, I completely understand wanting to get rid of these statues. It's something a lot of people would like to forget and others don't want them up as memorials to people who they believe/know were in the wrong.
On the other hand, I can understand why a reasonable person might be upset about erasing history. The German's left up the concentration camps as a reminder of a time they went wrong so that they'd have a constant reminder never to let such a thing happen again.
On the third hand, there's a lot of dumb white trash who like to scream about "heritage" who don't realize that stopped being a legitimate argument when their pappy and grandpappy let racists in the 60s co-opt the emblems of the confederacy for use as banners in the fight against civil rights.
On the fourth hand, some of the people who want to tear the statues down are just as stupid as the dumb white trash and are only pushing this issue for attention and a chance to virtue signal.
On the fifth hand, I just realized I have six hands. I am Khali, Destroyer of Worlds. If I weren't waiting for the next season of Venture Brothers and new Rick and Morty I'd end you fuckers right now just because of this stupid bullshit.
