You're not shit next to me. My genes are just light years superior to yours and I don't even need to look at you.

I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

Unrelated, but does anyone know how to connect a Windows 95 pc to wireless broadband? I am completely stumped.

Install xp.

Won't run on 32MB

Install gentoo.

That's 2000

Slackware?

what did I just say

Why Win 95?

I got bored with life and decided to build a '97 era pc, now I can't download the cd driver and have to buy an external floppy drive to load it into dos.

I think you have bigger issues than windows 95

Yeah, plug 'n' play is acting up too.

Then first of all I recommend relaxing your standards and using Win98SE. It replaced Windows 95 very fast and lasted pretty long, so you have a much better chance of finding drivers. Also, it has much better quality of life.

For example, Wi-Fi didn't exist before '97, and the standards before '99 or '03 (idk) are obsolete. So idk what are your chances of finding a wi-fi card with win95 drivers.

And anyways, why not use ordinary LAN (twisted pair Ethernet) instead? See https://superuser.com/a/525273 if you only have Wi-Fi.

Could use Ethernet I guess, and I have heard about 98SE's wireless compatibility. If I can't use a wireless ethernet bridge then I may have to fall back to a wired connection.

You can't. 95 didnt support wifi. 98SE was the first MS OS to support it.

Ethernet it is :/

You need dial up wifi.

I've been thinking of dial up tbh, but I dunno how expensive that would be

There isn't a stock WiFi driver in '95 so you have to use a third party program. Sorry.

u/aonome is on quite a roll this week

I think I got trolled

What is he trying to argue? I'm lazy and I didn't take my pills this morning.

Something along the lines of you don't need quantum mechanics to explain the double slit interference pattern because discretisation errors can produce a pattern.... which goes away in the continuum limit.

Wait is he trying to say particles aren't wave-like? I don't have much of a physics background but that's what I'm picking up.

Yes. Although he's essentially this by unwittingly introducing a sort of sawtooth wave pattern.

Oh. He sounds really dumb.

It hurts.

the fact it worked with buckyballs was not shocking or surprising.

idk man, a 60-atom structure sounds a fuckton more like a particle than a wave to me.
