FREE SPEECH UNLESS I DON'T LIKE IT!!! /u/djlewt

I unironically ironically want a civil war so I can safely mock amerilards and act smug online

Yeah, we should definitely not have suppressed the Germans rights to express ideals such as Nazism the way we did after those ideas were turned into actions that killed millions. Freedom of speech includes their right to indoctrinate millions into killing innocents.

The Holocaust wasn't bad because the Nazis said they wanted to kill Jews. The Holocaust was bad because they actually killed Jews.

Do you see the difference /u/djlewt?

Both were pretty bad. Also by the Holocaust was in full swing you weren't gonna talk the Nazis out of it.

Regardless one can support the 1st ammendment, as in the government protecting free speech. While also supporting private entities to not give space to bad memes. For example Reddit should ban all Nazis subs, tbat would be in the good interest of the site but the government should ban people's speech.

Yes the death of millions was "pretty bad".

Jesus, even the "F**k off Nazi scum" was self-censored.

Haben die Deutsche keinen Eier?

all these "anti nazi" protestors make a good case for nazis tbh

You realize that in many countries, including Canada, the right to free speech doesn't exist and you can be fined/jailed for saying things that go against the approved list of acceptable things to say? You may agree with it being illegal to say certain things but to me it's fucking terrifying that such a thing exists and that they're planning on adding more things that are "unacceptable" to say.

Just the other day I said something against the Queen and now I'm waiting for a train ride to Yukon where I will toil in diamond mine for 20 years.

It's brutal, I tell ya.

But, at least we have universal healthcare so hard labour camp should not be that bad.
