I'm actually pretty stoked and have been playing a lot of the QC beta, and am happy that Quake is back. Lots of old Quake vets have been shitting on the game since the beginning, basically saying that since changes have been made and it's not like Quake 3 it is garbage. There are lots of returning pros who are having fun with the game and have constructive criticism for the devs, but there are also those who think it can't be saved. Here we see a typical screaming match between a manchild and the world.
LOL someone linked it to r/drama! It's really not THAT big of a deal. This happens with EVERY SINGLE QUAKE, and guess what happens, everyone ends up loving the new game and those that legitimately don't, continue to play the previous versions.
