So I found this website where a journalist put together a collection of stories about online romance from the 90's. And by god, some of them are great. Here are some of the tales of e-love gone wrong:

Snally, have you ever considered doing a podcast or something about weird internet stuff?

You always find so much weird and awesome stuff, I'd totally listen to it.

She's like the personification of all the internet drama communities I followed in my early 20s. I would 100% listen to her podcast :D

The only problem with a podcast is that so much online stuff requires visuals. That could be cool though.

No, you misunderstand. /u/nomad1c is asking you out. Just let the guy down easy. No need to tell him about us.

Snallygaster is a national treasure.

You've out done yourself again.

All of those emails and interviews seem like theyre written by one person. Maybe she's trying to spruce them up but for whatever reason the writing really bothers me. Like it is over dramatic and puts feelings where there shouldn't be.

Yeah, you're right. They sound like real stories (and some of them come complete with pics) but the lady running the website probably edited them somehow.

Snally-Senpai Dramu is best retro Dramu

I'm telling ya snally, you could probably make a small but reasonable income from packaging this stuff in the right format.

I'd like to. I was thinking of doing twitch streams exploring this sort of thing or youtube vids, but the idea of attaching work to my person feels wrong on a fundamental level. Probably my Mennonite upbringing, lol.

I love doing youtube videos exposing companies or drama but they never get many views, sadly.

You were raised as a Mennonite? That doesn't quite square with your other stories.

Do you mean attaching the drama of others to you (i.e appropriating it) or becoming less anonymous feels wrong?
