No group of people or individual should be held accountable, as a whole, for the actions of extremists within it. We can't discredit all Muslims for the actions of, say, ISIS for the same reason we can't discredit all Christians because of the KKK or WBC.

If you told me you're a Christian I would know absolutely zero things about you other than that.
