This is a nice post and all, but I'm guessing that the only reason anyone is even arguing about this because these people believe 3D is superior to 2D.
I swear some people don't know the slightest bit of history.
Where do people think those black slaves came from? Did they just wander on to the boats, enticed like 6 year olds into the back of a white ford panel van with a lure of candy?
I mean... who do they think was buying the goddamned cotton? How much demand for cotton do they think there was in countries where subzero temperatures for a significant portion of the year is the norm? (Pro tip: it's not the places where different types of wool get their own brand names.)
There's no doubt that white people have done some nefarious shit over the centuries, but humans are a nefarious species, and white people are no more or less driven by those passions... white people just seem to have been better at it for a while.
