lmao I was wondering why it took them so long. Who would've guessed that mixing standard Wachowski pretentiousness with bisexual pronz but having no coherent plot, structure, subpar action and shit-tier acting and character development doesn't make for quality TV?
Between this and The Get Down (another pseudo-artistic borefest) getting canned, Netflix has really opened the floodgates of Tumblr ragetears.
I mean i thought the concept was cool, and i watched the first season. It was decent, but the people in that sub always make it out to be some sort of masterpiece thats breaking all boundaries, which it really isn't.
I watched the first couple episodes and I felt like there was a tiny person in the bottom corner saying "ah ha, lesbian main character! We're progressive, eh?" when each gender social construct check boxes were checked with a character introduction.
I couldn't get past the first episode. The completely superfluous "LOOK A LESBIAN COUPLE HAVING SEX AREN'T WE SO PROGRESSIVE" scene was not a good sign.
