- Introduction
osu! is a freeware rhythm game developed by Dean "peppy" Herbert basically you have to click circles to anime music.
Now lets get into it
Basically what happend was a top player #1 Romania and #15 the whole world from all 10 million registered user and a high profile streamer was caught sending and receiving sexually explicit pictures from a 13 years old fan.
Why is this so bad?
The reason why its so bad is because the guy is in his 20's it wouldnt be so bad if he was a teen as well but no this person is a grown men engaging with a 13 years old girl sexually.
The discussion of this has been banned on the osu! subreddit to prevent further witchhunting and his username has been put on a blacklist meaning that every post gets auto removed containing his name

Another Romanian 19~ years old gentleman who is referring to himself as the 13 years old girl "daddy figure" (possibly another pedophile post soon?) has leaked all the videos and sexually explicit conversations she had with the player a few months back.

I wouldn't think so. It created a lot of fanboys, but honestly, they already existed.
My big issue with osu is the ingame #osu chat. It's full of so many cringe roleplayers and weebs that it kind of just made we want to cut myself. I played the game for 4 years and to be associated with that stuff and even now this situation based on the community is just beyond a joke.
I never even watched anime, I liked rhythm games :v

I've played osu since 2010, im ancient compared to 98% of the players, i liked it for the music and still why i like it, you find some obscure artists and singers that you wouldn't find on your own
i hate how the game and its community revolves around the top players, its like that in other games but the kids here take it to the next level, its weird and off-putting

I'm from Romania and never heard of someone having a dance pad. I actually played DDR once at a convention like 5 years ago, and there was this weeb there that was beating everyone and saying he trained at home on his carpet by mimicking online videos without actually having a pad.
I went to conventions since then but DDR hasnt been present.
