Just a friendly reminder that on any campus, the vast majority of students just want to get through school and onto the next stage of their lives and maybe get a little high along the way.
The Evergreen sub was being brigaded (and still is to an extent). It went from zero posts to full of shitposts overnight. Many of them outright hateful. People seem to realize that our lives are being disrupted over this shit. Our school was closed over safety threats, our graduation moved to a different city and believe it or not, we often have a real neo-nazi problems in Olympia which often culminates in violence.
Only an idiot would think that those protesting students represent the majority at Evergreen. I wrote several opeds in support of Bret, but somehow because I also mentioned that the sub was being brigaded I became a SJW snowflake who can't take criticism and who is complicit in every bad thing that ever happened at Evergreen. If there's no room for a nuanced discussion then I have no interest in it. People took what they wanted from that post and circlejerked it so hard they probably invented a new form of locomotion.
