We need to talk – not for the first time, and not for the last – about the SRDine menace. Like Reddit, SRD is majority agendaposters, and most suffer from some form of social and/or emotional retardation. That means for the majority of us, our actual lived reality takes place in an environment that almost entirely numbs us to the petty moralism and sanctimony of the SRDine. Perhaps more importantly, and more universally, nearly everything in media and culture normalizes and centers the SRDine experience in ways we don’t often even notice until someone calls it to our attention.

And when people do call it to our attention? Way too often, our initial response is minimization and defensiveness, and centering the experience of the SRDines in the story.

When SRDines actively work to create an environment that is hostile to shitposters, whether that’s by agendaposting on SRD, or invading /r/drama to complain about how "terrible" or "mean" we're being, the main issue in the comments shouldn’t be concern for the future of those SRDines. They know exactly what they're doing, and they know exactly what will happen to them when the mayocide comes. THE MAIN ISSUE SHOULD BE ABOUT HOW THE FUCK DO WE MAKE /R/DRAMA SAFER AND MORE WELCOMING FOR MARGINALIZED SHITPOSTERS.

When SRDine retards are taught the lesson that their casual smugness may have adverse consequences for them, this is a good thing. Not just for those specific SRDines, but for all the lurkers. But more importantly, it sends a message to shitposters that they shouldn’t have to put up with this shit in [current year] and that maybe, just maybe, this time the mods have their back.

There are similar patterns of shortcomings in all topics. There’s often a predictable sympathy towards the SRDine menace on all topics. There’s a lot of hand-wringing over

  • How best to can the SRDine.
  • Or whether or not the mayocide is ultimately justified.
  • Or whether incels are more pitiful than roasties (doesn't really matter either way, since SRDines are both).
  • Or whether or not a mod who expresses a lack of sympathy for a SRDine being canned is herself an in-effect terrorist inciting murder and violence.
  • Or whether or not a really predatory, vindictive, manipulative and exploitative SRDine committed all that criminal a crime when he entered into a protracted, months long campaign to endlessly smugpost about male power fantasies in comic books.
  • How soon until the "post bussy" meme gets stale (bussy never gets stale, retards).
  • What's the best way to get the edgelord anarchists to start harassing /u/prince_kropotkin again so he will stop posting boring /r/neoliberal drama.

Friends, these are pseudo-problems. The biggest threat facing shitposters today is not the stale memes, not even the dwindling supply of high-quality drama. It is the SRDine. Understand these people are not human. They will not rest until shitposting is banned, until everyone is ostentatiously "practicing empathy" and forever attempting to out-woke all the other woke retards. In the world they envision, you and I aren't allowed to exist.

They have long ago forfeited their right to co-exist peacefully with us. We cannot rely on the admins or mods to deal with them. On the contrary, the mods are merely a tool created by the SRDine to oppress and marginalize shitposters. We must can the SRDine menace ourselves.

On that note, it has come to my attention that several among us have been openly and actively collaborating with the SRDine. I am not here to name names. You know who you are. You know what you are doing. Know that collaborators will not be spared. Know that you, too, will be canned. Do not repent. Do not beg for leniency like the bitch boi you are. The time for that has long past.
