Wow, you're such a GOOD PERSON, it makes me feel good to see other GOOD PEOPLE such as myself. Genital mutilations not very funny but it sounds more fun than hanging out with you.
So a 5 year old with a mutilated penis walks into a bar. He goes up to the first lady he sees and says, "I bet you $500 I can stick out my tongue and touch my eye." "Easy money," says she. "You're on."
So the kid sticks his tongue out and touches his eyeball with his finger. He can see that the lady is understandably pissed at his trickery, so he says, "Look, I'll give you a chance to get your money back. See that empty beer bottle at the end of the bar? I bet I can piss in it from where I'm standing and not spill a drop. Double or nothing."
The lady smells another trick, but desperate to regain her $500, she begrudgingly agrees.
So the kid whips out his mutilated penis and starts pissing all over the place. His urine is hitting pretty much everything except the bottle. It's all over the walls, the bar, the floor. It's gushing out the sides of his mangled dick like punctured valves in a submarine. It's even getting all over the lady, but all she can do is laugh and beam over the $500 she just made.
"I guess you're out $1000 today, pal!"
"Not quite", says the boy. "See that guy crying over by the pool table? I bet him $2000 I could piss all over you and you'd love it!"
Then, unfortunately, the boy with the mutilated penis was raped :(
There's a joke about Abraham performing the first circumcision on his son in there somewhere. I mean God wanted him to sacrifice his son in the beginning, maybe Abraham didn't know how much dick was a reasonable amount to lop off to repent for all of his sins. I mean he was like 900 years old right and a five year old's dick is pretty short.
Neither are jokes about religion, sexual preference, rape, or ethnicity yet both regular people and professional comedians make jokes about all of those things all the time. They're just harder to pull off and actually pulling them off is far more critical than with other jokes.
I was the Salutatorian and didn't get accepted to Northwestern. At the time I thought I was a white male because no one ever told me my father was arab and my grandmother was asian.
Brutally useless combo. Arabs count as Caucasian for college admissions purposes, and asians are heavily disadvantaged because there are already loads of asians at every top university in the US, so they don't add "diversity".
Kid is probably so used to mommy and daddy bailing him out whenever he gets in trouble that he doesn't even think about the consequences of his actions.
As far as I could tell Harvard sent everyone a letter that said "tell us which if these images you posted and explain what you meant by them via letter" so they might just not be any good at talking their way outta stuff.

The only real comment I've seen in this thread. Going to an Ivy League school these days is equivalent to taking piles of money and dumping them into the trash while your friends at state schools get identical educations.
Yeah the facilities and faculty at an Ivy League school are in a different league compared to a state school. The standards are actually far higher and they are not at all the exact same educations.
How someone can think their Univ. of Flyover State degree can somehow be the equivalent of an Ivy league school is just testament to how low the bar for entry into college is these days.
They kind of need to lower the bar to entry, I think. You can't get a middle or even upper lower class job without either a degree or being really charismatic/lucky/effective. Most people, by definition, don't hit the top of the charts of those three categories so in order to stop our economy from fucking up even further colleges need to get more people learning how to engineer.

Woah this really scared me 😶😶 what if I got into Harvard and then they kicked me out I would be so sad ☹️🙁☹️ luckily I didn't get in in the first place😂
Harvard is an elite institution, and besides the prestige of academia, they truly pride themselves in having students of good moral standing. It doesn't matter if they were just memes, some of you seem too hung up on that fact- that's toeing a very fine line between intent and actual effects. And to further drive the point home, all you have to do is keep up with the news and look at events that are happening on other college campuses, like American and Baylor. Racism is still alive and well in this country, so of course colleges are going to be on high alert. Of course colleges will want to be sure that the students they admit will contribute to positive discourse. There have been many discussions about such events in the college admissions world, but the conclusion many have come to is that it is not and cannot be simply about "diversity" anymore- it's now come to, are colleges admitting white students who understand the meaning of diversity and can fully realize the effects of their privilege? (yes I said it, that dreaded P word)
Private chat or not, this event should be a solid example of, it's not about being "sensitive" or "politically correct" anymore- it's 2017, we know better, so we should do better, and that includes our future college students.
What retards. I literally don't post to Social media at all because I know if I do my autistic ass will say something horrible. I just post pics from Doing cool shit.
So they were dumb enough to go from accepted to Harvard to refused at Evergreen.
Their parents must be so proud. Hope the parents are smart enough to send them abroad a year or two (in countries where we don't give a fuck about that bullshit).
“On the one hand, I think people can post whatever they want because they have the right to do that,” Luca said. “I don’t think the school should have gone in and rescinded some offers because it wasn’t Harvard-affiliated, it was people doing stupid stuff.”
This dumbfuck got into Harvard? Yes, you have the right to post that shit, and Harvard has the right to bodyslam your privileged future into the dumpster. Having rights does not equal freedom from consequences. And trying to argue that a group made up entirely of Harvard admissions isn't related to Harvard is a special kind of stupid.
Harvard has the right to bodyslam your privileged future into the dumpster.
I'm not entirely sure that's true. Once they've started, current college students can sue their schools for breach of contract if the school kicks them out for something that was not clearly against the rules in the student handbook, which basically counts as a contract, Psi Upsilon v. University of Pa., 591 A.2d 755 (Pa. Super. 1991) ("A majority of the courts have characterized the relationship between a private college and its students as contractual in nature").
I'm not sure what contractual rights (if any) admitted students would have, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that a contract claim could work here.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 92%. (I'm a bot)
Harvard College rescinded admissions offers to at least ten prospective members of the Class of 2021 after the students traded sexually explicit memes and messages that sometimes targeted minority groups in a private Facebook group chat.
After discovering the existence and contents of the chat, Harvard administrators revoked admissions offers to at least ten participants in mid-April, according to several members of the group.
Luca said the founders of the "Dark" group chat demanded that students post provocative memes in the larger messaging group before allowing them to join the splinter group.

I can't tell if this is a seriouspost and you need to kill yourself or if this is some sort of dank pasta. 🤔

The "actual effects" here were nothing at fucking all. No one actually used a dead kid as a pinata. That is, in fact, a very bright line.

Fucking posers lying on the internet.

What retards. I literally don't post to Social media at all because I know if I do my autistic ass will say something horrible. I just post pics from Doing cool shit.
n/a AllocatedData 2017-06-05
Spending your weekend posting on /r/drama doesn't count as cool shit.
n/a LSU_Coonass 2017-06-05
That's why I don't post pics of that. I also don't do cool shit that often.
n/a IAintThatGuy 2017-06-05
They can apply to Evergreen.
n/a qTimes2 2017-06-05
Cracking racist jokes is probably the only thing that'll land you in the one percent that doesn't get accepted to Evergreen.
n/a IAintThatGuy 2017-06-05
So they were dumb enough to go from accepted to Harvard to refused at Evergreen.
Their parents must be so proud. Hope the parents are smart enough to send them abroad a year or two (in countries where we don't give a fuck about that bullshit).
n/a SamWhite 2017-06-05
This dumbfuck got into Harvard? Yes, you have the right to post that shit, and Harvard has the right to bodyslam your privileged future into the dumpster. Having rights does not equal freedom from consequences. And trying to argue that a group made up entirely of Harvard admissions isn't related to Harvard is a special kind of stupid.
n/a skeetsurfing1984 2017-06-05
I'm not entirely sure that's true. Once they've started, current college students can sue their schools for breach of contract if the school kicks them out for something that was not clearly against the rules in the student handbook, which basically counts as a contract, Psi Upsilon v. University of Pa., 591 A.2d 755 (Pa. Super. 1991) ("A majority of the courts have characterized the relationship between a private college and its students as contractual in nature").
I'm not sure what contractual rights (if any) admitted students would have, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that a contract claim could work here.

How about we let people share whatever memes they like in the privacy of their own facebook chats?
n/a unplural 2017-06-05

n/a mikerhoa 2017-06-05
