“I was in shock at first (when I saw that vehicle). My heart started beating,” Anderson told the Scarborough Mirror. In the video she expressed outrage that such a vehicle would be allowed to be part of the festival and demanded that it be immediately removed.
“I’m appalled that I’m the first person to flip out about this. It was very painful for me.”
Scarborough-Rouge River Councillor Neethan Shan posted about the incident late Sunday night on his Facebook page.
"I am informed that there was a car on display at Highland Creek Heritage Festival that had Confederate flags on display and that even after an attendee raising it, no immediate action was taken. I am very disturbed by it,” wrote Shan, who is the first Tamil Canadian to serve on Toronto City Council.
How is this even an issue. Back in 2010 Fallsview Casino had one of the original General Lee's on display and no one cared beyond checking out the car for a bit and taking some pictures.

But she will catch on when they crank the real General Lee, leading to a high speed chase with her following them in a Prius and Roscie and Enos right behind. Unfortunately for her the Prius is woefully underpowered so when the Duke boys jump across Sawmill Creek using a makeshift ramp made from a pile of gravel the Prius can only make it half way. When her Prius lands in the half-dry riverbed Roscoe pull his weapon and remarks about the scuffs on her vehicle. Unfortunately for Roscoe his comments are misconstrued as a threat due to only the last 10 seconds of the encounter being uploaded to youtube and he's vilified in social media as a racist despite a jury failing to convict him of a hate crime.
