**"Essentially, I'm in a very tough professional program in an outrageously expensive city. My parents are fairly well-off and decided to invest in a condo that I could live in while studying here. They bought a two-bedroom unit so that they could have a place to stay when they visit but they never visit so I, feeling lonely in the place and somewhat lonely in general asked if I could rent it out below market price to someone that I was compatible with, hopefully making a good friend out of it.

I placed a few ads at my school and after many showings to people who I just didn't click with, I ended up responding to a girl "Zoe" who is a year below me in my program. When she first came to visit the place, it was obvious that we had very different personalities so I was tripping out at how much we clicked. I'm shy. I'm quiet. I'm insecure and anxious . Zoe talked like she owned the place, looked me right in the eye and actually listened when I spoke, and made me feel like we had been best friends forever right off the bat. I have never instantly felt so comfortable with someone so I was freaking excited for her to move in just to be clear. But fuck. I didn't realize she's like that with EVERYONE. I feel almost cheated. We're both super busy with school, clubs, studying, and volunteering so I knew we wouldn't be hanging out every day but I figured we'd have meals together often, just chill when we were both home, go out from time to time, study together. I barely see her and when I do she either has a friend over or she is on the phone. She doesn't text so she is ALWAYS on the phone with friends, family, extended family, family friends, the school janitor probably. I wake up, she's already up maybe going for a jog, preparing breakfast, doesn't matter what, she's on the phone. I come home and she's already there, guaranteed she's on the phone or deep in conversation with a guest. And as soon as one call finishes, another one starts or someone shows up or she's going out. It's like she can never actually be on her own.

I do give her credit because she never even glances at her phone when we're doing something together like watching a movie or at a restaurant and she is the kindest person, making a huge deal out of my birthday and sharing everything she has. But I didn't know I'd have to schedule "dates" just to have a bit of time with my roommate. And even when we do go out of course we run into ten people she knows. I swear the last time we went out, she gave the bus driver a hug because somehow she knew he was expecting a baby. Am I crazy for wanting to change roommates? What can I do to shake these ugly feelings towards her?
