Do you ever think of the non-mod users who lack important mod cyber friends as ants compared to you? Do you sigh audibly to yourself and roll your eyes over all the kids who are gonna need babysitting at the start of every mod session? Do you think to yourself 'It's a tough job and I actually have more important shit going on, but they wouldn't last a day without me'? Do you then think to yourself 'Okay, I guess I'll have to help them out, but they can't expect me to answer a mod request without a layer of dismissive snark... My time, which I have voluntarily chosen to fill with unpaid modding, is more important than theirs after all'? Do you end every day of modding with thinking 'I am a good person and important person who've been specifically chosen to help out as a mod'?
Idk, somehow this seems worse to me than all powermods being controlled by shareblue.
It's funny people think anyone cares about CNN in general. It's not the Fox news of liberals it's just some idiocy no one watches unless they're 80 or in a waiting room.
Kind of, I was really into that sub when I started with reddit. Before the """alt-right""" popped up so it wasn't really as bad. The uncovering of agenda driven cabals filled me with rage back then. Soon I realized there was no need to take reddit that seriously. The only sub I've been unfairly banned from was r/4chan anyway and I act like an asshole often so the problem isn't that big imo.
Of course elfa isn't a bad mod and whenever there's a questionable action there's usually an explanation. But I like the fact that there are pissed off users "fighting the power" and being uncomfortable to any powertripping mod. Creating factions and absolute outrage, whether you agree or not it's good drama.
