I'll be the first to admit there are a lot of douchebags in tech, but much of this stuff is catalyzed by the money there and the lack of basic social skills + backbone on the part of many involved. I've been in the tech industry for 20 years now, and tbh it's a hell of a lot better than many others.

And believe it or not, I've seen women execs be just as bad as the men, to both men and women. This shit just gets play because of money and visibility, not to mention the lack of balls (and sense) on the part of many involved.

Anyone who cites the Milgrim or Stanford "experiments" hasn't learned even basic modern psychology.
