Asians I know hold White people on a pedestal. From where I grew up they are really the master race: more advance technology, better life style, men treat their women better, better looking men/women, you name it.
I think it has something to do with a century of humiliation.
This has, naturally, created some hostilities of Asian men against White (or any men that looks White). The forums I lurk occasionally has talks about how White men are picking up their chicks (or how Asian girls are throwing themselves into White men), how any White loser can become Casa Blanca if they move to Asia.
I never picked up on this. I mean the treating women better thing I can understand, but that's mostly just mainland China that has poor quality of life, but I rarely see asian girls with white guys. They usually go for black guys or asian guys. I've never understood the stereotype about the supposed white savior stuff, especially since Asians in america are doing better than anyone else.
I'm hopefully moving to Japan in a few years and I hear they treat every non-Japanese person kinda poorly so at least take solace in knowing that humans are humans and skin doesn't (shouldn't) effect much. I'm sorry about the whole image thing though.
