New drama as someone who makes a living playing games for children gets killed in game by another children's game player. Game developer bans person killing them for having the audacity to interrupt an advertising opportunity.

This is an ingenious method of making players afraid of getting banned for merely playing the game.

Could you translate what happened in lay man terms.. what is steam sniping and pua??
1 Greasy_Slot 2017-07-28
Streamers are ~people~ man children who play video games live on the internet for money, stream sniping is when someone watches their stream, joins their game, figures out where they are and kills them.
Pua is... uh... pickup artists? I dunno
1 shitpersonality 2017-07-28
How was the kino game? Did the developer experience lmr? Did they neg a set?
1 RedditNinjaApex 2017-07-28
PUA in this context is "Player Unknown Battlegrounds".
Yes the name is shit.
1 Greasy_Slot 2017-07-28
wtf is the A for? everyone calls it PUBG
1 RedditNinjaApex 2017-07-28
Wish I could tell you but it's probably a misspelling which has been integrated into the acronym. I've seen everything from PUB/PUA to PUaB/PAB.
The user base is retarded so I wouldn't expect much. I use a paid hack so my experience is mostly in those forums. I dip into the main area from time-to-time and it's somewhat similar.

From what it sounds to me, Players A and B are in the same game. Player A is streaming his gameplay to an audience. Player B watches the stream, and therefore knows where Player A is at all time to kill him.
If true, it sounds retarded. Player A made a choice to tell the world where he was.

White people nonsense.

"reddit comments are just youtube commenters that think they have legitimacy"
This, I agree with. The devs are still retarded though.

What does that make Twitter commenters then? Shit posters with a character limit?
1 -absolutego- 2017-07-28
Twitter's pretty evenly split between the verified narcissists and shitposting anime avatars.
1 ABillionYearsOld 2017-07-28
God damn video games were a mistake.
1 windwoker 2017-07-28
I haven't played the game in question, but it seems pretty popular at the moment, but there also seems to be a lot of stupid, needless drama because of the devs stupid moves.
It seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot with this stuff.
1 crefakis 2017-07-28
It's basically a Skinner box but for ragequtting
1 Crowsworth 2017-07-28
Crazy as H1Z1 is a fucking mess, and dying, and this new game could make a nice bit of cash if they played it smart. Thankfully, they are fucking ruining it for themselves with this drama.
I am above all that shit because I play racesims like a real loser, not a fucking hipster loser in denial.
1 windwoker 2017-07-28
Yeah, it seems like they are abusing the power that they have as game devs, but I wouldn't really know. All I play is RPGs and single player games; the only thing I play online is AOE2, and that is with friends 99% of the time.
1 nomorepushing 2017-07-28
this streamer seems to cause a lot of trouble like this
1 APE_CHRIST 2017-07-28
Why is this piece of shit game popular? The game mode itself is a mixed bag of RNG. The combat falls apart at mid to close range because 30 tick on a mediocre engine. "Third personing" (the enemy can spot you from behind cover) is a thing. Sound design is terrible. Art direction is completely uninteresting. Vehicle collisions are a joke. And on top of it all the devs are basically retards. Yet somehow people have deluded themselves into thinking this game is worth playing. It's pure cancer. The Arma 3 modding community has been a plague on PC gaming for going on 5 years now.
1 Greasy_Slot 2017-07-28
You sure feel strongly about what games other manchildren like
1 APE_CHRIST 2017-07-28
Did I touch a nerve you filthy scrub?
1 Greasy_Slot 2017-07-28
What answer would make you feel better about yourself
1 APE_CHRIST 2017-07-28
I'd feel better if you had the self respect and common sense not to give your (very valuable, I'm sure) time to this heap of shit. I'm the helpful guy in this equation, dipshit.

It cost $30 and I have plenty of disposable income because tfw no gf.
1 FreeDory 2017-07-28
tbh no point in having a GF unless she is pretty.
1 UpvoteIfYouDare 2017-07-28
tfw no qtπ gf
1 hopfield 2017-07-28
it, and every other "battle royale" style game, is a great idea but executed poorly.
1 dogbref 2017-07-28
it's basically a streamer bait game, like Goat Simulator or whatever for YouTubers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AyfExM-AJI
this is the most embarrassing thing i've ever seen
1 j4x 2017-07-28
I hate the game but for some reason I can't stop playing it.
1 Ikea_Man 2017-07-28
if these streamers had an ounce of common sense and just blurred their server ID this wouldn't be an issue
SMH @ these people do this shit for a living
1 APE_CHRIST 2017-07-28
Stream sniping should only be addressed as a problem in games that are competitive to begin with, which PUBG isn't.
1 Ihurtinside 2017-07-28
Fuck the modern gaming industry. Things got shitty last gen, and now they're even worse.
1 80BAIT08 2017-07-28
It's not fagscape for once.
1 TheEhSteve 2017-07-28
It's good to show contempt for your audience
